Lansing Veteran turns 103 , Mayor declares Gunnery Sergeant Joe Filko Day

Joe Filko, a World War II veteran, turned 103 years old on Thursday. Filko, who served in the Marine Corps, celebrated his birthday with his fellow veterans at a local veterans’ home. Filko’s family and friends were unable to attend the celebration due to travel restrictions.
